Job Description:

The Senior Art Director must have a strong foundation in branding, visual design, and user experience. You’ll lead projects that span digital and print, bringing ideas to life with originality and precision. What makes this role special is the opportunity to integrate AI tools into the workflow. From concept generation and prototyping to production and optimization, you’ll help shape how WMX blends human creativity with AI to deliver powerful, innovative work.


Responsibilities:

  • Lead and refine user-centered design processes across projects.
  • Partner with the marketing team, project managers, and Creative Director to deliver impactful campaigns.
  • Maintain and evolve client brand guidelines, incorporating AI tools for scalability and efficiency.
  • Direct deliverables across multiple projects, ensuring work is on time, on budget, and on-brand.
  • Experiment with and adopt AI-powered tools to streamline research, spark creativity, and improve workflow.
  • Mentor and coach designers, encouraging a culture that embraces innovation while maintaining craft and quality.
  • Keep up with design and AI trends, proactively suggesting new approaches to elevate our creative work.


Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in UX/UI, visual design, or art direction.
  • Hands-on experience with AI creative tools (MidJourney, DALL·E, Adobe Firefly, Runway, or similar).
  • Expert level proficiency with Adobe CC (Photoshop, Illustrator, Animate, and InDesign) Adobe, and Google Web Designer a plus
  • Skilled with HTML, CSS, PHP & JavaScript a plus
  • HTML coding and development for Email using responsive design and email coding best practices
  • High proficiency with WordPress and WooCommerce
  • A powerful portfolio of creative work that demonstrates originality, innovation, problem-solving, and personal expression, ideally including AI-enhanced work.
  • Expert-level proficiency with Adobe CC (Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign)
  • Proficiency in Adobe XD, Animate, or Google Web Designer a plus
  • A compelling design portfolio with examples of UI/UX, Visual Design, Branding, Presentation Decks, Graphic Design, Print, and information visualization, ideally including AI-enhanced work.
  • Experience across digital channels
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, set priorities, utilize resources, identify and address problems, meet deadlines, and stay within budget
  • Highly motivated and a high level of initiative; ability to work independently, in support of the agency’s creative goals and the client’s business objectives
  • Exceptional at your craft and a critical project owner
  • A fascination with innovation and technology
  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic and/or Web Design, or equivalent professional experience
  • Hospitality and Travel experience a big plus
