Job Summary/Basic Function
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Agriculture Admissions Recruiter is responsible for developing and implementing recruitment strategies to recruit prospective students to the Undergraduate Sustainable Agriculture, Environmental Engineering majors, or students interested in minors in Water Resources, Entomology, or related topics, and students in the Master of Science in Agricultural Science of Central State University. The position supports enrollment goals by building relationships with prospective students, families, high school counselors, community organizations, and academic partners. The recruiter will represent the university at recruitment events, coordinate campus visits, and guide prospective students through the admissions process.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement student recruitment strategies aligned with university enrollment goals to increase the student numbers in Agricultural related majors and minors.
• Represent the university at national and local college fairs, high school visits, community events, and recruitment programs.
• Build and maintain relationships with high schools, community colleges, and community organizations.
• Communicate with prospective students and families via email, phone, and virtual platforms.
• Coordinate campus visits, open houses, and recruitment events.
• Maintain accurate records of prospective student interactions in the university system.
• Assist prospective students throughout the application and enrollment process.
• Collaborate with academic departments to promote programs and opportunities.
• Analyze recruitment data and prepare reports on recruitment activities and outcomes.
• Support diversity and inclusion initiatives in student recruitment.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Data tracking and reporting skills.

Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in agricultural science or related science from an accredited institution.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends for recruitment events.
• Willingness to travel for recruitment activities.
• Experience with student services, admissions, recruitment, or outreach activities.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience working in higher education admissions or recruitment.
• Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., Slate, Salesforce, or similar).
• Experience organizing events or outreach programs.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
