Apply Location: Washington, DC 20057 Duration: ASAP through end of year Hours: 25 hours/week | Flexible schedule Pay Rate: $29 per hour About the Role The Admissions Manager, Graduate & Executive Degree Programs Admissions supports all activities related to the smooth and effective recruitment, admissions, and enrollment of incoming students across all degree programs within the Graduate & Executive Degree Programs Admissions team. This includes managing admissions inboxes, conducting follow-up calls, supporting recruitment events, and reviewing applications. This role also serves as a critical point of contact throughout the applicant lifecycle, ensuring accurate and timely processing of application files from initial document verification through committee review and final decision communication.

The Admissions Manager plays a key role in enhancing the applicant experience and supporting enrollment yield through responsive, professional communication and close attention to detail. Core Duties Manage assigned admissions inboxes and phone inquiries, conducting follow-up calls with prospective students and responding within 24 hours Support the planning and execution of on-campus, off-campus, and virtual recruitment events Maintain admissions databases to accurately track applicants and application status Perform first review and processing of all applications, including document verification, GPA calculations, and file preparation for Admissions Committee review Deliver admissions decisions in a timely manner, respond to follow-up inquiries to support yield, and refer applicants to appropriate campus offices Responsibilities Inbox and Communication Management Monitor assigned admissions inboxes throughout the business day, responding to email and phone inquiries within 24 hours Triage inquiries by topic (application status, requirements, deadlines, financial aid, etc.) and route to the appropriate team member or campus office when outside scope Maintain a consistent, professional tone in all applicant-facing communications, using approved templates where available Prospective Student Outreach Conduct outbound follow-up calls with prospective students at key funnel stages: inquiry, incomplete application, and admitted/not yet enrolled Answer questions on program curriculum, application requirements, deadlines, and enrollment steps, escalating complex questions to the Assistant Dean or program directors as needed Document call outcomes and next steps in the CRM Database and Application Tracking Maintain accurate, up-to-date applicant records in the admissions database, including status changes, document receipts, and decision outcomes Run and review regular status reports to flag stalled or incomplete files for follow-up Support data hygiene efforts, including correcting duplicate records and updating contact information Event Support Assist with planning logistics for on-campus, off-campus, and virtual recruitment events Staff events as needed, greeting attendees and answering general admissions questions Track event attendance and follow up with attendees' post-event to keep them moving through the pipeline Application Processing and File Review Perform document check review of submitted applications Verify receipt of all required documents, including transcripts, test scores, letters of recommendation, resumes, and essays Calculate and verify GPAs from submitted transcripts Verify degree conferral and confirm authenticity of official documents and test scores Compile and organize complete applicant files for distribution to the Admissions Committee Track committee review status and follow up to ensure timely turnaround on decisions Decision Processing and Communication Process admissions decisions accurately and in a timely manner Respond to post-decision follow-up questions to support yield, including enrollment deposit steps and next-step timelines Refer applicants to appropriate campus offices such as financial aid, international student services, registrar, etc. Qualifications Bachelor's degree Proficiency with MS Word and Excel Outstanding verbal and written communication skills Outstanding interpersonal abilities and a poised, professional demeanor Ability to exercise good judgment in maintaining confidential data Strong ability to multi-task, prioritize, and execute in a dynamic environment Critical eye for detail Confidence to take initiative, ask questions, and make recommendations with a focus on process improvement and customer satisfaction Collaborative team player mentality Strong preference for experience in a higher education admissions environment and/or experience with Salesforce nextSource is committed to providing reasonable accommodation for qualified individuals with disabilities in our job application procedures
