Job Summary
We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented HR Admin Assistant for a contract/temporary opportunity in Novato, CA within the banking and consumer lending industry. This role is ideal for a human resources professional with 3 to 5 years of HR support experience who enjoys keeping processes running smoothly, supporting employees, and contributing to a well-managed HR department.
The HR Admin Assistant will provide hands-on administrative support across onboarding, compliance postings, employee materials, benefits administration, invoice processing, department supplies, file storage, and HR events. This is a great opportunity to join a professional, service-focused environment with supportive leadership, positive teamwork, and exposure to a broad range of human resources operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and distribute employee packets for onboarding, termination, benefits, and new employee orientation.
- Coordinate annual labor law compliance postings and assist with annual HR policy and procedure distribution and tracking.
- Process department invoices and expense reports, reconcile benefits bills, assist with benefit audits, and process retiree coverage checks.
- Maintain and distribute the organizational chart, manage HR supplies, and coordinate employee logo wear, name tags, business cards, and anniversary gifts.
- Support HR records management, including on-site and off-site file storage processes.
- Assist with HR department projects, the Annual Health Fair, the Legendary Service Award process, and tracking for the Suggestions and Questions box.
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay rate: $25 to $28 per hour.
- Job type: Contract/Temporary.
- Location: Novato, CA.
