Job Title: Administrator-in-Training (AIT) – Skilled Nursing / Long-Term Care

Location: Any HMG Skilled Nursing Facility

Pay: $40,000–$60,000/year (salary, based on experience and qualifications)

Job Type: Full-time

Job Description:

HMG is seeking motivated individuals to join our Administrator-in-Training (AIT) Program, a structured pathway toward becoming a licensed Nursing Facility Administrator (NFA). This program combines hands-on operational experience with mentorship from experienced Administrators across our facilities.

This position may be based at any of HMG Healthcare's 32 facility locations. Final placement will be determined based on candidate location, facility need, and program timing.

As an AIT, you'll work alongside a preceptor to learn all aspects of skilled nursing facility leadership — clinical operations, regulatory compliance, financial management, staffing, census development, and quality assurance — while completing your required licensure hours (1,000-hour or 500-hour pathway, depending on eligibility).

*** Applicant needs to have all education completed and ready to do their internship only. This program is set up for applicants to work their 6 months / 1000 hours and then test.

What We're Looking For:

  • Bachelor's degree required (healthcare, business, or related field preferred)
  • Prior healthcare, management, or supervisory experience a plus (not required)
  • Willingness to be placed at any of HMG's 32 facility locations
  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to commit to a full-time program schedule (38–40 hrs/week)
  • Must be eligible to pursue NFA licensure in your state (we'll help verify pathway eligibility)

What HMG Offers:

  • Structured mentorship from experienced facility Administrators
  • Direct pathway to a Nursing Facility Administrator license
  • Competitive salary during training
  • Real operational responsibility, not just shadowing
