Niyam is seeking an experienced Maximo System Administrator in support of our work with a federal client. The IBM Maximo System Administrator is responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, performance tuning, and day-to-day administration of our IBM Maximo infrastructure, including Maximo Asset Management (v7.6.x) and/or Maximo Application Suite (MAS). This role ensures the reliability, performance, security, and availability of the Maximo platform while supporting business operations, system enhancements, integrations, and user administration. The ideal candidate will have deep technical expertise in Maximo architecture and security administration. The successful candidate will collaborate with business stakeholders, functional teams, developers, and infrastructure personnel to maintain a stable and scalable Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) solution.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Administer, maintain, monitor, and optimize IBM Maximo Asset Management (v.7.6x) and/or Maximo Application Suite (MAS) environments to ensure system reliability, availability, and performance.
  • Manage system configurations and environment settings to ensure optimal performance and availability.
  • Perform system upgrades, patches, fix pack installations, and application deployments.
  • Continuously monitor system health, performance metrics, logs, integrations, and scheduled processes; proactively identify, analyze, and remediate issues impacting system stability and performance.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex application, integration, security, and performance-related incidents and problems.
  • Maintain Single Sign-On (SSO) solutions, authentication services, and audit logging processes to support security and compliance requirements.
  • Manage user accounts, security groups, roles, permissions, and access controls in accordance with organizational policies and least-privilege principles.
  • Implement and maintain security policies in accordance with organizational and regulatory requirements.
  • Support audit activities and ensure compliance with internal governance standards.
  • Support integrations between Maximo and enterprise systems using APIs, web services, middleware, and integration frameworks. Monitor integration processes and troubleshoot data synchronization issues.
  • Support complex data migration, data quality, and data governance initiatives, including imports, exports, and system validation activities utilizing tools such as Migration Manager, MXLoader, and custom automation solutions.
  • Execute and analyze Maximo Integrity Checker results, identifying and resolving data integrity and system consistency issues.
  • Formulate, maintain, and test reliable backup and system recovery strategies.
  • Provide Tier 2 application and system support for Maximo users and coordinate escalation activities with IBM Support as necessary.
  • Develop, maintain, and update technical documentation, standard operating procedures, system architecture diagrams, and user support materials.
  • Deliver training and knowledge transfer sessions for end users and support staff.

Qualifications and Education Requirements
  • US Citizenship with ability to obtain a Public Trust.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience administering IBM Maximo Asset Management and/or Maximo Application Suite environments in a production enterprise setting.
  • Current IBM certifications, such as IBM Certified Administrator - Maximo Manage, IBM Certified Deployment Professional, or equivalent Maximo-related certifications.
  • Demonstrated experience in IBM Maximo system administration (v7.6x) and/or MAS 9, application configuration, security administration, user provisioning, and environment management.
  • Strong understanding of Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) and maintenance business processes.
  • Experience with Application Designer, Database Configuration, Workflow Designer, and Automation Scripting.
  • Proficiency in SQL and relational database concepts, including query development, troubleshooting, and performance analysis.
  • Experience supporting application deployments, upgrades, and system maintenance activities.
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Skills
  • Prior experience working on federal contracts.
  • Knowledge of IBM WebSphere, Linux, OpenShift, or cloud-based deployments.
  • Experience with Maximo Integration Framework (MIF), REST APIs, and web services.
  • Familiarity with Oracle or SQL Server database platforms.
  • Experience with BIRT or other reporting tools.
