About the Role

As a Direct Support Professional (DSP), you will provide person-centered care and support to individuals in their homes and in the community. You'll assist with daily living activities, implement individualized goals, and foster a positive, inclusive environment that encourages growth and independence. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about helping others, enjoys being active in the community, and is looking for a meaningful, hands-on position with real impact.


Key Responsibilities


Care and Support

  • Assist clients with daily tasks such as hygiene, meals, and light housekeeping while encouraging independence
  • Implement goals outlined in the Individual Support Plan (ISP)
  • Foster healthy routines and support client development in line with their abilities and interests

Community Engagement

  • Accompany clients on outings, appointments, or errands
  • Promote social inclusion by encouraging community interaction and positive relationships
  • Provide safe and reliable transportation using your own vehicle

Safety and Communication

  • Ensure safety in both home and community settings
  • Respond calmly and effectively in challenging situations, including medical or behavioral emergencies
  • Maintain regular communication with the administrative team
  • Accurately complete all required documentation and reporting

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to assist with lifting, bending, walking, and other physical aspects of caregiving
  • Capable of handling behavioral challenges and supporting individuals with higher needs

What We're Looking For


Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Prior experience as a DSP or in a similar caregiving/support role
  • Comfortable supporting individuals with high behavioral needs
  • Available to work weekends (required)
  • Own reliable transportation for use in transporting clients
  • Valid Driver's License and current auto insurance (minimum 100k/300k liability coverage)
  • Smartphone with internet access for documentation
  • Ability to pass a DHS criminal background check
