Job Description
The Department Program Coordinator provides administrative, operational, and communications support for the Business Information Technology (BIT) Department. The position serves as a primary point of contact for faculty, staff, students, visitors, and university partners and supports a broad range of departmental activities, with primary responsibility for coordinating operations associated with the BIT PhD Program.
Responsibilities include supporting graduate recruitment and admissions processes, student onboarding, program administration, communications, event coordination, travel arrangements, purchasing, reimbursements, website and digital content updates, and other departmental initiatives. The Department Program Coordinator collaborates with faculty, students, college offices, and university partners to support the department's teaching, research, and outreach mission.
Required Qualifications
• Demonstrated experience providing administrative, program, communications, customer service, or office support in a professional environment.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with diverse constituencies, including faculty, staff, students, and external stakeholders.
• Experience coordinating meetings, events, projects, records, or program operations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other standard business applications.
• Ability to exercise sound judgment, maintain confidentiality, and work independently.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience working in higher education, academic administration, student services, or a related professional environment.
