Job Description:
The Administrative Tax Intern provides essential operational and client-service support to PKF O'Connor Davies' Tax practice while gaining meaningful exposure to the professional accounting environment. Interns receive practical experience, mentorship, and ongoing development throughout the program.
Essential Duties:
  • Support the tax return workflow in a secure, paperless environment.
  • Assist with the accurate and timely processing, preparation, and delivery of individual, fiduciary, partnership, and corporate tax returns.
  • Organize, combine, and manage PDF files and other tax-related documents.
  • Prepare electronic filing packages, authorization forms, and related client materials.
  • Gain familiarity with federal and state tax return filings and associated procedures.
  • Provide administrative support for daily office operations and client-service needs.
  • Answer and direct telephone calls in a professional manner.
  • Greet and assist clients and visitors, creating a welcoming office experience.
  • Process incoming and outgoing mail and coordinate post-office deliveries as needed.
  • Assist with additional administrative tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Must have at least 75% of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting completed from an accredited university.
  • Potential candidates should have good communication and computer skills and be team players who are motivated to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Interns must be customer-focused and able to multitask.
  • Must be able to commit a minimum of 20 hours per week and have availability for weekend work when necessary.
  • Frequent local travel to clients and other PKFOD locations may be required.

The compensation for this position is $30.00-$32.00 per hour. Actual compensation will be dependent upon the specific role, office location as well as the individual's qualifications, experience, skills, and certifications.
