Learn & Earn Administrative Career Intern (Paid)

Department of Health and Social Services (DHSS)


Pay: $15.00 per hour
Employment Type: Paid Internship
Duration: Approximately 8–12 weeks
Schedule: 15–20 hours per week

What You'll Do

As a Learn & Earn Administrative Career Intern, you'll work alongside experienced professionals within the Department of Health and Social Services (DHSS) and contribute to the daily operations of a busy public service office.


Responsibilities include:

  • Deliver outstanding customer service to internal and external customers.
  • Welcome and assist clients while providing a professional and positive first impression.
  • Manage lobby traffic and assist eligible customers (18 years and older) with self-service kiosks.
  • Process and distribute incoming and outgoing mail.
  • Scan, organize, and electronically index documents.
  • Perform filing, data entry, records maintenance, and other administrative support duties.
  • Assist staff with daily office operations and special projects.
  • Develop valuable workplace skills in communication, organization, teamwork, and customer service.


Who Should Apply?

  • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from high school, college, trade school, or a workforce training program
