ADMIN DIRECTOR OF SURGICAL SERVICES

JOB OVERVIEW


Seeking an experienced nursing leader to oversee surgical services operations, manage departmental resources, drive quality outcomes, and lead staff development within a fast-paced healthcare environment.

POSITION DETAILS

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS


• Base Salary: $115,000 - $175,000 per year
• Full Benefits Package

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


• Lead and manage surgical services operations on a 24/7 basis
• Develop and manage departmental operating and capital budgets
• Oversee staffing, recruitment, performance management, and employee development
• Monitor quality outcomes and implement performance improvement initiatives
• Ensure regulatory and accreditation compliance
• Manage equipment purchasing and maintenance processes
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams
• Analyze operational data to improve efficiency, quality, and patient outcomes
• Lead workflow redesign and process improvement initiatives
• Support risk management, case management, and clinical excellence programs

REQUIREMENTS


• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required
• Current Texas Registered Nurse (RN) License required
• Active BLS Certification (AHA required within 60 days of hire)
• Minimum 5 years of experience within surgical services or specialty area
• Progressive leadership and management experience in the Operating Room (OR) setting

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS


• Master's Degree in Nursing, Business, or related field
• 3-5 years of progressive management experience
• Specialty or healthcare administration certification
• Strong budget, operational, and personnel management experience

• Experience driving quality improvement and operational excellence
• Effective communicator with physicians, leadership, and clinical teams
