You'll collaborate with a team to support the systems that drive City services, including Azure, M365, Active Directory, hybrid infrastructure, virtualization, backup and recovery, enterprise systems, and public safety technology.

The Systems Administrator typically works Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM, with additional hours as needed for system maintenance, upgrades, troubleshooting, or critical incidents. Occasional evening, weekend, or on-call availability may be required to support business continuity and maintain the stability and security of the City's IT infrastructure. Pay Plan This opportunity is exempt and on Pay Grade #20.

The full Pay Grade Range is shown for growth and development opportunities within the grade. Salary determination is supported by budget availability and qualifications of the candidate to maintain internal equity. Employees must meet the requirements for CJIS access. Experience Required Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; an equivalent combination of relevant education, training, and experience may be considered.

Three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in systems administration, IT infrastructure, or a related technology environment. Experience administering and supporting a combination of on-premises, cloud, and/or hybrid infrastructure, including areas such as servers, virtualization, storage, Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, networking, and backup and recovery solutions. Experience troubleshooting system and infrastructure issues, performing routine system maintenance and upgrades, and supporting the availability, security, and reliability of technology environments.

Experience working collaboratively with technical teams, users, vendors, or other partners to support organizational technology needs. Preferred Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate. Microsoft certifications related to security, compliance, identity, or Microsoft 365 administration.

VMware Certified Professional (VCP), Nutanix Certified Professional (NCP), or comparable virtualization certification. CompTIA Security+ or comparable security certification.
