THE ROLE

We Are Social is looking for a Manager, Culture Comms who is passionate about social media. The role will serve as the primary engine for audience-centric social execution and strategic trend-spotting for our clients. You should be able to react quickly in a fast paced environment, taking ownership of delivering our best work. You should be truly passionate about social media, what trends are shaping it, what best practice looks like and how brands and fans are changing the landscape.

Traditional agency experience is not required, but it's a plus. What matters is your deep understanding of what resonates with social audiences. This role is energetic, innovative and forward-thinking. Alongside engaging with communities, you'll guide brands by staying ahead of social trends and cultural moments. In return, you'll join a global agency dedicated to generating buzzworthy ideas for some of the world's leading brands. 

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • A "chronically online" mindset with an obsessive understanding of TikTok, Reels, X, and emerging platforms
  • Develop distinct audience personas and algorithmic profiles to ensure content is hyper-targeted and reaches the intended communities
  • Work side by side with our internal and client team to develop and execute social strategies, helping to create best-in-class content to establish the brand as an industry leading account on key platforms
  • Build, manage, execute and social content plans, channel strategies and calendars across always-on and campaigns that speaks to key moments in culture and ensure optimal execution of platform features (sounds, hashtags, filters, etc) 
  • Vet and Identify strategic creator partnerships that align with specific audience subcultures and creative concepts
  • Partner with Creative teams to build community management playbooks and ensure all creative ideas are "social-first" and executed to perfection
  • Have a thorough understanding of the brand compass and the social strategy and how it plays out in your day-to-day role
  • Lead tactical creative briefs by channel, audience and content pillar in partnership with Strategy team
  • Serve as the go-to internal source for emerging trends that spark high-impact creative thinking
  • Understand the ins-and-outs of channel updates and form POVs to share implications for internal and external partners
  • Regularly guide a variety of brands on reactive content opportunities and create rationale for clients
  • Lead a social media audits and research deepdives in partnership with R&I teams 
  • Confidently be the "voice of Gen Z" to clients and internal teams
  • Stay ahead of AI tools and trends and leverage features to supercharge workflow, synthesize research and iterate on strategic frameworks, insights and audience personas

REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS ROLE

  • 3+ years experience in a Social Media focused role
  • Serial social media user who can show a deep understanding of key platforms
  • Deeply passionate about culture, trends, fandoms and communities 
  • Creative brief and content planning experience 
  • Confident research capabilities 
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to interface with clients across contexts 
  • Effective communication skills
