Job description

DAP is looking to hire R&D Intern for Summer 2026.

Responsibilities:

The summer intern would work under mentorship of a senior scientist / Supervisor to perform collaborative research for development adhesives or repair products with unique and differentiated properties. 

The intern will work on 

  • Conduct formulation optimization of hybrid sealants by modifying prepolymers, UV stabilizers, additives, and fillers, followed by evaluating elongation properties, storage stability, UV resistance, and adhesion performance.

Pay

  • $17 / hour.

Requirements

  • Major:  Chemistry
  • Sophomore, Junior, or Senior.
  • General lab skills (formulating, mixing, ability to research test methods and raw materials).
  • General understanding of adhesive and sealants.
  • Good time management.
  • Data analysis. Organized.
  • Good communication skill and time management.
  • Likes to work with hands-on testing in a laboratory setting.
  • Attention to details, inquisitive, good notes taker, desire to learn and grow.
