• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed assessments to evaluate the specific histories and needs of patients, facilitating the identification of effective therapeutic interventions.
• Design and implement personalized treatment plans that focus on trauma recovery, resilience-building, and fostering positive coping strategies.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic approaches, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), during individual and group therapy sessions.
• Provide therapeutic guidance and support to help patients process their trauma experiences, develop resilience, and enhance their coping mechanisms.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other health professionals to deliver integrated care tailored to the holistic needs of patients.
• Respond to crisis situations with appropriate intervention strategies, offering immediate support for trauma-related emergencies.
• Educate clients and their families about trauma responses, coping techniques, and available mental health resources.
• Maintain meticulous and confidential patient documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems for accuracy.
• Participate in regular case consultations and interdisciplinary team meetings to enhance care delivery and share best practices in trauma-informed treatment.
• Stay informed of the latest research developments and incorporate innovative practices into treatment modalities.

The licensed mental health therapist will work primarily with individuals affected by trauma, particularly those struggling with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. By providing personalized support, you will help patients navigate their paths to recovery, fostering healing in a nurturing environment.

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Texas.
• A strong theoretical background in trauma-related disorders, trauma-informed modalities, and evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
• Proficient in the use of electronic health record (EHR) systems and present computer applications that enhance patient care.

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in a mental health counseling setting, ideally focusing on trauma recovery.
• Demonstrated expertise in implementing trauma-focused treatments and delivering effective therapeutic services.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, characterized by a compassionate and non-judgmental demeanor.
• Adept at maintaining composure under pressure, particularly during high-stress situations that require immediate interventions.
