Job description

Summary:
The Add-On Replacement Helper is a vital member of our HVAC team, responsible for assisting in the installation, replacement, and maintenance of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems. In this role, you will work alongside experienced HVAC technicians to ensure the safe and efficient completion of projects related to add-on replacements of HVAC equipment. Your dedication and attention to detail will contribute to the overall success of our projects and the satisfaction of our clients.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Assist in Installation and Replacement: Collaborate with senior HVAC technicians to perform the installation and replacement of HVAC systems, including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and other related equipment.
  • Prepare Work Area: Help prepare work areas by setting up equipment, tools, and materials required for the installation or replacement process. Ensure a clean and organized workspace before and after the project.
  • Material Handling: Assist in the loading, unloading, and transport of HVAC equipment, tools, and materials to and from job sites. Safely handle heavy equipment and materials.
  • Equipment Assembly: Assist in assembling and connecting HVAC components, such as ductwork, refrigerant lines, electrical wiring, and control systems, following established guidelines and specifications.
  • Safety Compliance: always Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines. Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure that safety measures are followed by the entire team.
  • Documentation: Assist in documenting work progress, measurements, and other relevant information for project records and client communication
  • Troubleshooting: Collaborate with senior technicians to identify and resolve basic technical issues during the installation or replacement process
  • Client Interaction: Communicate courteously with clients, providing information and addressing their questions or concerns to ensure a positive customer experience.
  • Tool Maintenance: Help maintain and organize tools and equipment, ensuring they are properly cleaned, stored, and in good working condition
  • Professional Development: Actively participate in training sessions and educational opportunities to enhance your HVAC skills and knowledge

  • High school diploma or equivalent; HVAC technical training or relevant certification is a plus.
  • Basic understanding of HVAC systems, components, and installation procedures.
  • Ability to lift heavy equipment and materials and perform physically demanding tasks.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Willingness to learn, take direction, and follow safety guidelines.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to job sites.
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
  • Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
