** This position is a remote position. This work can be done remotely, connecting to a workstation located in the Dover Administration building. All work must be completed in the United States. **

Our direct client has an opening for a Adabas / Natural Software Developer Exp # 12765. This position is for 12+ months, with option of extension, and will be worked remote. All work must be completed in the United States.

Core Technical Skills

NATURAL Software Development minimum 5 years

ADABAS database development minimum 5 years

Description:

37.5 hours per week

Candidates should be proficient in the following skills: NATURAL Software Development, ADABAS database development, TSO, JCL, FTP, and Cobol as well as Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel and Word). Should have experience preparing technical documentation and have good oral and written communication skills. SQL Server database experience desired.

The position will be involved in the analysis, design, implementation, and support of existing Motor Vehicle mainframe applications. Write code, revise and adapt existing code, troubleshoot and resolve defects. Maintain and support applications to keep them performing in accordance with technical and functional specifications. Perform system tests and debug programs according to results of system test and user acceptance test. Requirements include someone who is able to work independently as well as in a team environment, is creative and self-motivated with excellent communication and end-user skills.

This position will work with DTI personnel, DelDOT Office of Technology and Innovation co-workers, and DMV management and staff to understand and troubleshoot issues within the DMV systems. They will be expected to assess ideas and suggestions for system upgrades or improvements, evaluate and recommend development tools and software upgrades/enhancements, as well as provide effective on-site support as needed. This position may be asked to perform after hours corrective actions either remotely or on site. They will participate in product design reviews to verify that design meets quality standards and functional/technical requirements and will document all work for future reference. This includes end-user documentation and manuals as well as status updates to management and users.
