Flare est une entreprise SaaS en forte croissance que service specialisee en cybersecurite, dont la mission est de permettre aux organisations de prendre le controle de leurs donnees et de proteger leurs clients, employes et images de marque en identifiant les menaces externes. On permet aux equipes de cybersecurite de detecter de maniere proactive les expositions a haut risque sur le "dark web" et sur internet, avant que les acteurs malveillants n'aient la chance de les exploiter. On unifie les capacites du renseignement sur les cyber menaces et de la gestion de la surface d'attaque externe dans une plateforme unique et intuitive.

TL;DR : On est geeks qui aident a proteger les donnees de nos clients en localisant les risques cyber risques.


A propos du role

En tant que Specialiste des operations comptables, tu seras la colonne vertebrale operationnelle de la fonction finance de Flare. On a maintenant bati des bases solides, et on agrandit l'equipe pour soutenir notre croissance rapide et une complexite grandissante. On a besoin de toi si tu es capable de plonger dans nos operations quotidiennes, et suffisamment curieux et competent pour s'approprier nos systemes, l'automatisation et les workflows bases sur des agents dans les premiers mois suivant ton arrivee. Relevant du Controleur financier, tu prendras en charge des responsabilites concretes des le premier jour, et tu seras profondement implique dans nos transactions, nos systemes et nos processus.

La plupart des roles en comptabilite consistent a maintenir un statu quo. Ce n'est pas le cas ici. Flare traverse une periode d'hypercroissance. Nos systemes et processus evoluent en temps reel, et ce qui fonctionne aujourd'hui devra peut-etre etre repense demain. C'est une occasion unique de participer au developpement de processus comptables de premier ordre au sein d'une startup en hypercroissance, et de les faire evoluer avec l'entreprise.

  • Presence dans le concret : Tu seras responsable de la couche transactionnelle de notre fonction finance - un travail reel, recurrent et imputable, qui permet a la fonction financiere de fonctionner avec precision et dans les delais
  • Curiosite pour les systemes : Tu travailleras des le depart dans notre ERP natif IA, et tu contribueras a l'evolution de nos operations comptables. Un interet pour les systemes financiers et l'automatisation est essentiel.
  • Construire en plein vol : Tu trouveras des solutions, tu documenteras ce que tu apprends et tu signales ce qui ne fonctionne pas - en favorisant une amelioration continue, et pas seulement de maintenir le statu quo.


Ce que tu feras

  • Gerer la comptabilite transactionnelle au quotidien : Processus de facturation, de comptes clients et de comptes fournisseurs.
  • Soutenir la fin de mois : Les rapprochements comptables, la codification des operations et les pieces justificatives afin de garantir l'exactitude et la ponctualite de nos etats financiers.
  • Contribuer aux declarations de taxes de vente et de conformite.
  • Travailler dans notre ERP natif IA et d'autres outils financiers : En effectuant des reconciliations systeme et en reperant des occasions d'affiner et de simplifier nos processus financiers de bout en bout.
  • Te developper vers la supervision d'agents et l'automatisation : Tu developperas une familiarite avec nos processus pilotes par l'IA, tu contribueras au developpement d'agents, a leur reconciliation et leur supervision, et tu examineras les integrations systeme au fur et a mesure de leur evolution.
  • Tu aideras a consigner et maintenir la documentation des procedures comptables, en soutien a notre objectif d'une fonction finance bien documentee et evolutive.


Tu es la personne qu'on cherche si tu as / tu es

  • 3 a 5 ans d'experience progressive en operations financieres et comptables.
  • Une experience avec des logiciels comptables (p. ex. QuickBooks, Campfire, NetSuite), Excel/Sheets et des outils SaaS modernes.
  • Une connaissance pratique des normes comptables canadiennes et de la conformite fiscale (NCECF, taxes de vente).
  • D'autres qualites :

About the role

As the Accounting Operations Specialist, you will be the operational backbone of Flare's finance function. We've built a strong foundation, and are expanding the team to support our rapid growth and increasing complexity. We need someone who can dive into our day-to-day operations, and who is curious and capable enough to grow into systems, automation, and agent-based workflows within a few months of joining. Reporting to the Controller, you will own meaningful work from day one and be deeply involved in our transactions, systems, and processes.


The reality of the role

Most accounting roles are about maintaining a status quo.This is not one of those roles. Flare is in a period of hyper-growth. Our systems and processes are evolving in real time, and what works today may need to be redesigned tomorrow. This is a unique opportunity to help build best-in-class accounting operations at a hypergrowth startup and scale them alongside the business.

What makes this role unique:

  • Presence in the work: You will own the transactional layer of our finance function - real, recurring, accountable work that keeps a finance function running accurately and on time
  • Systems curiosity: You will be working within our AI-native ERP from the outset, and will support the evolution of accounting operations. An interest in financial systems and automation is critical.
  • Building while flying: You will figure things out, document what you learn, and flag what isn't working - driving continuous improvement, not just maintaining it.


What you'll do

  • Own day-to-day transactional accounting: Invoicing, accounts receivable, and accounts payable processes.
  • Support the monthly financial close: Account reconciliations, transaction coding, and supporting documentation to keep our financials accurate and timely.
  • Assist with sales tax and compliance filings.
  • Work within our AI-native ERP and other financial tools: performing system reconciliations and identifying opportunities to refine and streamline our end-to-end financial processes.
  • Grow into agent oversight and automation support: Develop familiarity with our AI-driven processes, assist with agent development, reconciliation and oversight, and review system integrations as our systems evolve.
  • Capture and maintain documentation of accounting procedures, supporting our goal of a well-documented, scalable finance function.


You'll be a perfect fit if you have/are

  • 3-5 years of progressive finance/accounting operations experience.
  • Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Campfire, NetSuite), Excel/Sheets, and modern SaaS tools.
  • Working knowledge of Canadian accounting standards and tax compliance (Canadian GAAP (ASPE), sales tax).
  • Other qualities:
