Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital is a premier clinical and academic health system, providing expert pediatric care for infants, children, and teens with some of the most challenging medical problems. Ranked in multiple specialties by U.S. News & World Report, we provide access to innovative treatments and therapies. With more than half of the 259 beds in our teaching hospital devoted to intensive care level services, we are the regional pediatric referral center for Florida's West Coast. Physicians and community hospitals count on us to care for critically ill patients and perform complex surgical procedures.
Job Summary:
The Acupuncturist at Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital provides quality clinical care to patients in an outpatient care setting as part of a multidisciplinary team. This role is responsible for assessing patients, developing and providing acupuncture treatments, documenting care accurately, and supporting each patient's overall treatment plan. The Acupuncturist uses evidence-based practices and approved acupuncture techniques, including needles, cups, ear balls, seeds, pellets, acupressure, shiatsu, and tuina, as appropriate. This position also educates patients on wellness practices such as stretching, exercise, nutrition, breathing, relaxation, and the healing process. The ideal candidate is a licensed Acupuncturist who is committed to safe, compassionate, patient-centered care and able to work collaboratively with providers, caregivers, and clinical staff at Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master's degree in Acupuncture, Chinese Medicine, or Oriental Medicine from an American program accredited by the Council of Colleges of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (CCAOM), or approved foreign equivalent relevant experience
- Licensed by the Florida Board of Acupuncture to practice acupuncture in Florida Current AHA BLS certification
- Maintain continuing education as required by the Board of Acupuncture to maintain one's license and national board certification.

Salary Range: Minimum 34.12/hour - Maximum 34.12/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
