Job description

The Center for Women's Health at Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) is seeking a per diem primary care physician (Internal Medicine or Family Medicine) to provide primary care at OHSU's Center for Women's Health. This is a wonderful opportunity to be part of an innovative team providing a full spectrum of care across multiple disciplines. With services like acupuncture, naturopathic care, mental health, physical therapy, midwifery, obstetrics, gynecology (and related subspecialties), and primary care, the Center for Women's Health has an innovative and collaborative approach to providing care for women from throughout Oregon and Southwest Washington.


Clinical:

  • Provides an outstanding level of clinical performance. The expectation is that clinical performance be delivered in a manner that is compliant with appropriate regulations and guidelines (the American Board of Internal or Family Medicine, TJC, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid, and all other state, federal, and institutional regulatory guidelines).

Education: 

  • May teach trainees and support staff.   Teaching is done through assigned lectures when appropriate to be given during the course of the year and through teaching in the course of performing his/her own job by modeling best practices, mentoring trainees, guiding learning through delegating graduated and focused levels of responsibility. 

  • M.D. or D.O.
  • Demonstrated competence in research, teaching, patient care or administration or combinations of these activities
  • A potential for academic accomplishment
  • Board certification or eligibility for specialty board certification, in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
