Surgical Affiliates Management Group (SAMGI) is a physician-led organization focused on building and supporting high-performing surgical teams across the United States. Our model emphasizes predictable scheduling, strong clinical support, and the ability for surgeons to focus on patient care in hospital-based settings. We partner with leading health systems to deliver acute care surgery, trauma, and surgical subspecialty services.
The Opportunity
SAMGI is seeking a Board Eligible/Board Certified Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon to join a collaborative orthopedic trauma program in Mesa, Arizona. This position supports a high-acuity trauma center and offers the opportunity to work alongside an experienced orthopedic trauma team in a well-supported, hospital-based environment.
Schedule
  • 183 shifts annually (24-hour shifts)
  • Blocked scheduling with 7 day stretches
  • Built-in recovery time between rotations

Job Duties
  • Provide operative and non-operative management of orthopedic trauma patients
  • Participate in trauma call coverage at a high-volume trauma center
  • Manage complex fracture care, including pelvic and acetabular injuries
  • Collaborate with trauma, ICU, and emergency medicine teams
  • Balance operative cases with inpatient care and follow-up clinic responsibilities
