At EY, weโ€™re all in to shape your future with confidence.

Weโ€™ll help you succeed in a globally connected powerhouse of diverse teams and take your career wherever you want it to go. Join EY and help to build a better working world.

EY is a leader in serving the global financial services marketplace and the only professional services firm with a separate business unit dedicated to the financial services industry โ€“ the Financial Services Organization (FSO). Our focused model and bold ambition have put us at the center of events that continue to reshape and redefine our industry, working side by side with a range of clients from our most venerable institutions to dynamic new entrants across Banking and Capital Markets, Wealth and Asset Management, Insurance, and Real Estate, Hospitality and Construction. Our purpose is to help build a financial services industry in which financial institutions are trusted and flourish, and the global economy is healthy, growing, and secure. If you have a passion for rallying together to solve complex challenges, then come join our dynamic FSO team!

Our actuarial advisers combine technical depth, business judgment and creative thinking to help clients address complex challenges and pursue growth. As a Senior Consultant, you be right at the heart of that mission, directly with clients and starting to build your personal brand as a leader in your field

Your key responsibilities

Itโ€™s all about providing the knowledge our clients need to execute strategies and resolve complex issues. Weโ€™ll look to you to play significant roles in client engagement teams in our practice, in a wide variety of projects including:

  • Product strategy and innovation

  • Model development and optimization

  • Actuarial transformation

  • Mergers and Acquisitions

  • Reinsurance and capital optimization

  • Financial and regulatory reporting

  • Assurance

  • Enterprise strategy

To qualify for the role, you must have

  • Strong writing, presentation, conceptual, analytical, project management, and interpersonal skills

  • A proven ability to manage time while working on multiple, often shifting, projects, and the confidence to work both collaboratively and independently under pressure

  • Willingness and ability to travel to meet client needs

Ideally, youโ€™ll also have
  • Familiarity with actuarial model development activities, including solution design, translation of business requirements, model staging, data preparation and automation, assumption management, and model change / testing lifecycle

  • Experience with reinsurance concepts, capital solutions, and profitability management considerations

  • Experience with actuarial audit approaches, and quality review processes

  • Exposure to business transformation concepts, including operating model, process, or technology enablement

  • Experience with open-source coding paradigms such as Python, R, Julia, others, and familiarity with emerging technologies (e.g., AI/GenAI) applied to actuarial work

  • Experience with long-term care or other health and protection products, including modeling, reserving, assumption development, financial reporting, or audit and assurance.

  • Consulting mindset with structured problem solving, executive communication skills, and the ability to translate technical concepts into actionable business insights

  • Project management experience and ability to handle teams and multiple stakeholders

What we look for

We are looking for adaptable, collaborative actuarial leaders who combine genuine expertise with versatility and sound judgment. You are a strong communicator, self-motivated, comfortable with ambiguity, and energized by solving unfamiliar problems and helping clients and colleagues navigate change.
