Overview:
To create a terrifying and immersive experience for guests by portraying a frightening character.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
  • Perform to the best of your ability to scare and interact with guests in the area you are assigned.
  • Work in areas that may include dark rooms, loud music, fog, strobe lights, animatronic effect and may be outside.
  • Follow all guidelines provided and reviewed during training including but not limited to the following:
    • Stay in character at all times while guest facing.
    • Work with Host, Escort or Supervisor if there is an emergency or issue to be addressed.
    • Do not touch guests or scare children in strollers
    • Do not excessively scare a single guest or group to the exclusion of other guests.
    • Do not stop performing to chat with other Scare-Actors, Supervisors, or Team Members.
    • Keep your own safety and the safety of the guests in mind during your performance.
    • Walk, scare and interact with people when they walk through your area.
  • Remain in your assigned area until dismissed by the Supervisor.
  • Wear the assigned costume appropriately, and supply black shoes, black pants, and the Fright Fest t-shirt.
  • Protect your costume from abuse or damage, and see that costumes are properly maintained.
  • Protect your make-up, mask, contacts, teeth, or prosthetics from abuse or damage.
  • Diligently follow all scheduling in regards to meals and breaks.
  • Keep guest safety and satisfaction in mind during performance in your area, including but not limited to guiding guests to the next area, maintaining order, and assist guests by answering questions if an emergency arises.
  • Ensure general housekeeping for the haunted houses, break areas, make-up area and Show Wardrobe.
  • Adhere to and enforce all park policies and procedure as outlined in the Seasonal Handbook and Department Standard Operating Procedure Manual.
  • Report any unsafe acts and/or conditions to the Supervisor immediately.
  • Train new personnel as needed.

Qualifications
Qualifications:
  • Minimum Age: 16
  • Must be available Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 4pm to park close
  • Wear costumes, stage makeup and/or prosthetics for long periods of time.
  • Must be willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Must be professional, self-motivated, the ability to multi-task and have an enthusiastic attitude
  • Must have strong teamwork skills and the ability to work with others
  • Must be able to energetically interact with guests for the full length of shift.
