Activities Director – Create Meaningful Moments for Seniors Every Day

As an Activities Director, you provide overall leadership for a vibrant, resident-centered activities and volunteer program that promotes connection, wellness, and purpose across the community. What you'll do:

  • Lead and oversee daily activities, events, outings, and wellness programs
  • Develop engaging calendars and newsletters aligned with resident interests
  • Recruit, inspire, and manage activities team members and volunteers
  • Build partnerships with local organizations and community groups
  • Oversee drivers and coordinate community outings
  • Manage the department budget and monitor expenses
  • Review resident surveys and lead Resident Council meetings
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state/province, and Sunrise quality standards
  • Collaborate with Sales, Dining, and leadership on community events
  • Hire, coach, schedule, and develop team members

You create meaningful experiences while building a strong, energized team that enhances resident life every day.

What we're looking for:

  • Degree in Recreation, Therapeutic Recreation, Gerontology, or related field OR Certified Activity Professional
  • 2+ years experience in senior living or community recreation
  • 2+ years leadership or supervisory experience
  • Strong organizational, communication, and presentation skills
  • Ability to manage budgets and multiple priorities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and events

Pay Range: 25.45 - 31.85
