The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for logistics related to the receipt and shipment of raw materials and finished products.
We are looking for a full-time Logistics Coordinator (day shift).

Key responsibilities

  • Ensure that logistics management is properly implemented and understood by those directly involved in its implementation and monitoring
  • Recommend the optimal mode of transportation; we deliver throughout Canada and worldwide
  • Prepare shipping documents world wide.
  • On a regular basis, analyze transportation costs and always choose the best balance of price and service;
  • Ensure that orders are ready on time and communicate with carriers
  • Resolve issues related to transportation, logistics, imports and exports, and customers;
  • Ensure that transportation companies follow procedures and policies
  • Coordinate with the Receiving/Shipping Supervisor regarding the arrival of raw materials;
  • Coordinate our trucks and drivers
  • The Logistics Coordinator will verify that tasks related to receiving and shipping are properly completed and that HACCP/SQF documents are kept up to date;

Qualifications required

  • Experience or understanding of customs brokerage, freight forwarding, and transportation strategies.
  • Attention to detail
