Cherokee Town & Country Club in Atlanta, GA is looking to hire a part-time Child Activities Assistant to provide exceptional child care and create a safe, fun environment for the children in our Child Activity Center. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A CHILD ACTIVITIES ASSISTANT

As a Child Activities Assistant, you look forward to coming to work each day. With great attention to detail, you schedule reservations to our childcare center, ensuring compliant children/staff ratios. As kids arrive, you make them feel excited to be at our activity center and okay with the impending departure of their parent. You converse with parents who may give you instructions on what their child might need that day. Supervising the security procedure for signing children in/out, you ensure the safety of the kids in our care.

You lead and coordinate activities for the children to participate in such as storytelling, organized arts and crafts, and games. Assisting the Director of Youth Activities, you implement monthly themes and activities. It's almost impossible to be unhappy when you look around the room and see these adorable kids having fun. If issues arise between children, you help them to resolve conflicts and report any behavioral incidents to the Director of Youth Activities. At meal and snack times, you provide food service while maintaining a safe and sanitary eating environment.

By following the facility checklist and performing regular shift tasks, you maintain the cleanliness of our childcare center. You also accurately process the billing of members' accounts and submit reports. Every day is an adventure because no two days are the same when you work as a Child Activities Assistant at our Child Activity Center.


WORK SCHEDULE

Our Child Activity Center is open 7 days a week. Ideal shifts include:

  • THURSDAY 4:30 pm - 9:00 pm
  • FRIDAY 4:30 pm - 10:00 PM
  • SATURDAY 7:30 am - 2:00 pm or 4:30 pm - 10:00 pm
