Job description

If you are looking for a position in a dependable field with one of the most dynamic employers in Southern Alberta, keep reading.

Led by the Recreational Therapist and/or the Site Manager, as an Activity Coordinator at Green Acres Foundation, you would be responsible for the following:

  • Developing programs that contribute to the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of residents.
  • Provide programs and activities which offer broad appeal to residents and encourage participation.
  • Planning and organizing resident excursions, entertainment activities, and other indoor/outdoor activities.
  • Driving the Foundation bus and leading exercises.
  • Recruiting, training, and overseeing volunteers.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in leading group activities and/or related recreation field.
  • Emergency First Aid certification.
  • Current satisfactory Criminal Record Check
  • Valid Class 4 driver's license.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in written and spoken English.
  • A flexible, willing, and positive attitude.

Certification and/or training in conducting exercises for seniors is considered an asset.
