Job description

Dart Trucking Company, Inc. DBA DART AMERICA is hiring CDL A OTR Tanker Drivers inCatlettsburg, KY & North Lima, OH. Drivers will be hauling dry carbon in pneumatic tank trailers and dump trailers throughout the United States. Drivers will be trained in activated carbon exchanges which use water and air pressure to deliver activated carbon to customers. Dart America is proud to be the dedicated carrier for one of the worlds largest activated carbon producers and has been in business for over 50 years.

Compensation

  • Average annual pay: $95,000+
    • Top drivers average $120,000+
  • Average of 2,500 miles weekly
  • Starting 62 CPM with CPM increases after 6 months, 12 months, and annually thereafter
  • Paid all miles, loaded and unloaded
  • Guaranteed pay: $1,500 weekly
    • Must be available for work all 7 days
  • Additional pay:
    • Overnights $20 per day
    • Per diem $63 per day
    • On duty not driving $25 paid per hourafter 2 hours per load on round trip loads
  • Bonuses:
    • Incentive bonus: .015 to .090 CPM based on miles driven and 12 goals, paid quarterly
    • Referral bonus: $4,000 per driver paid in 3 installments over the new drivers first 90 days
  • Paid via direct deposit weekly

Home Time, Route, & Schedule

  • Home Time: 34-48 hour weekly restart at home
    • Restart will be on a weekend 80% of the time
    • Drivers close to Catlettsburg, KY can potentially have a10 hour break at home 1-2 times per week
  • Schedule: Varies, will work with driver
  • Route: OTR 49 states, round trip routes
  • Level of Touch: Drivers will be hooking up hoses and using a fresh water line to transfer carbon via water slurry from the trailer to the customer vessel. Drivers cant touch customer vessel, Calgon carbon field service rep will be on site at customer location working alongside drivers

Equipment

  • Late model trucks
  • Fleet is allmanual transmission
  • Amenities: Inverter, new mattress, professionally cleaned
  • Governed speed: 70 mph on pedal, 72 on cruise
  • Outward facing camera
  • ELD equipped with Samsara system

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 23 years of age
  • Must have CDL A license
  • Must have a minimum of 1 year verifiable OTR tractor-trailer driving experience within the past 3 years
  • Must be able to operate a manual transmission
  • Must have tanker endorsement or be willing to obtain prior to onboarding
  • Must have or start process of obtaining within 60 days of hire: hazmat endorsement, TWIC card, and passport
    • Dart will reimburse drivers for the cost of obtaining
  • Must pass a respirator fit test and pulmonary function test
  • No DUI/DWIs in last 5 years
  • No more than two moving violations and an at-fault accident within the last three years
  • Must be able to pass a required pre-employment drug screen
  • Must possess a valid DOT medical certificate
  • Hiring Area: Drivers must live within 75 miles ofCatlettsburg, KY or North Lima, OH
