Y2 Academy first opened in the Philadelphia area in 1995. With our unique approach to instruction and our SAT Score Guarantee Program - a program which originated with Y2 Academy-we are the best preparation school in the area for college entrance exams. Each year, at least one hundred Y2 Academy students received perfect scores, not only on the SAT test, but also on the SAT II, ACT, and AP tests.

Job Description

Y2 Academy is seeking part-time English/Math Instructors (High School, SAT/ACT test Prep.) to work with students  at our  Parsipany  location in the afternoons and weekends. It is important that applicants are patient, can challenge students and are highly skilled, efficient and organized.

Responsibilities:

Provide exceptional classroom and one on one tutoring to Y2's vibrant student body.

Track and analyze students' progress and prepare for Lessons and Tests to meet students' needs.

Attend regular team meetings and work closely with Program Director to meet students' academic goals.

Qualifications

Strong academic knowledge, motivated, versatile, dependable, and dynamic with strong communication skills Friendly, patient, and sensitive to the needs of a diverse group of students.

Ability to travel to our location to work with students Required

Credentials and Experience:

Must be English Major.

Three plus years of teaching experience is preferred.

SAT Score of above 95 percentile preferred. If not, must be ready to take a test at our location.
