Job description

Assertive Community Treatment Team Nurse

Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) Team Nurse performs complex services to assist individuals in gaining access to ACT medical services. The nature of work requires working with severely chronically mentally ill individuals through aggressive intervention, frequent in-person contact, crisis intervention, and long-term contact with individuals, families, and service providers. Major responsibilities include but are not limited to, monitoring individuals' medication-related needs, working with an interdisciplinary team consisting of psychiatrists, community-based providers, and center staff to provide services outlined in the individual's recovery plan, and providing coordination of individual's needs as necessary. This nurse will serve clients in the community and may be required to drive a personal vehicle with reimbursement for mileage. Ability to communicate and work effectively in a fast-paced work setting; ability to plan, implement and prioritize assignments. Ability to document accurately.

Minimum Qualifications:

The position requires a current Texas Registered Nurse license. Requires current CPR certification. Must have a valid Texas driver's license and acceptable driving record, as well as personal automobile liability insurance as required by the state of Texas.

Work Schedule: 8-5pm (Mon-Fri)

Salary $33.82/hourly

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in providing community mental health services. Bilingual skills to include Spanish/English. Experience with ACT services preferred.
