VACANCY DESCRIPTION:High Point Christian School (HPCS) is seeking a 2nd Grade Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. The ideal candidate will prayerfully help students learn attitudes, skills, and subject matter that will contribute to their development as mature, able, and responsible Christians to the praise and glory of God.


High Point Christian School was founded in 1975 as a ministry of what is now High Point Church, a non-denominational, evangelical fellowship serving the greater Madison area. Our school offers a safe, caring and Christ-centered environment for grades K-8, as well as a preschool program. HPCS is affiliated with the Impact Christian Schools network.

Madison consistently ranks among the best in the nation for almost everything including fantastic bike trails, safe neighborhoods, great healthcare, excellent education, amazing music venues and diverse restaurants.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:


  • The teacher shall be a mature, sincere Christ follower who feels called of God to the teaching profession.
  • Must hold a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Must hold or be eligible to obtain an Association of Christian School International (ACSI) teaching certification.

PREFERRED/DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • ACSI Certified Teacher
  • State of Wisconsin certifiedTeacher
  • Three to five years classroom teaching experience.


TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:


  • Salary: $39,132 Annually - commensurate with experience
  • Position: 2nd Grade Teacher is 1.0 FTE
