Job description

Who We Are:
Archipelago Companies, a portfolio of highly successful consumer lifestyle brands, is seeking a talented and passionate individual with an entrepreneurial mindset to join our team. Our brands, including OluKai, melin, Roark, and Tradewind Services are leaders in their respective markets, offering high-quality products and authentic marketing stories direct to consumers. At Archipelago Companies, we pride ourselves on our commitment to integrity, and we strive to create a culture of excellence in everything we do. If you are a driven and innovative individual with a passion for consumer brands, we invite you to apply for our open position and become a part of our dynamic and growing team.
About the Role:
We are looking for an organized, detail-driven Talent Acquisition Coordinator to support our recruiting team across sourcing and operations. This is an entry-level, hybrid role: part recruiting and HR operations and part sourcing support, built to give a motivated early-career professional broad exposure to the full recruiting function. You will keep the hiring process moving behind the scenes, from scheduling and offer paperwork to candidate outreach. You will also lead new hire orientation for corporate hires and provide cross-functional HR support, including coverage for retail and other HR-related activities as needed. As you ramp up, you'll take on more active sourcing support for the team, and over time may begin assisting the TA Partner on 1-2 easy-fill requisitions.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Own day to day recruiting operations tasks including posting job requisitions, coordinating interview schedules and logistics with interviewers and hiring panels, managing calendar invites, and ensuring a smooth and professional candidate experience.
  • Prepare and process offer paperwork, background checks, and new hire documentation in partnership with HR.
  • Lead new hire orientation for all corporate hires, ensuring a warm, organized, and consistent onboarding experience from day one.
  • Provide coverage and support for HR-related activities across the broader People team, including retail HR support and other cross-functional tasks as needed.
  • Support sourcing for critical hard to fill roles through job board postings, resume screening, and LinkedIn outreach, growing into a more active sourcing partner as you ramp up.
  • As readiness grows, assist the TA Partner on 1-2 easy-fill requisitions at a time, gaining hands-on full life cycle exposure under guidance rather than owning requisitions independently.
  • Take on stretch projects across the recruiting function (sourcing campaigns, employer branding and candidate communication efforts, process documentation, recruiting reporting) to build recruiting skills over time.

Requirements & Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in recruiting, HR, administrative support, or customer service; internship experience welcome.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities and calendars at once.
  • Comfortable learning new systems quickly; prior experience with an ATS or HRIS (Bamboo HR, ADP, Workday, etc.) is preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a professional, candidate and employee-first mindset.
  • A proactive, can-do attitude with genuine curiosity about building a career in talent acquisition.
  • Proficiency with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook or ZOOM calendar tools.
  • Ability to handle confidential candidate and employee information with discretion.
  • Self-directed and comfortable operating with ambiguity in a growing, multi-brand organization

Location & Office Structure: This is an in-office hybrid position, mandatory 4 days per week in office in Irvine, CA with the option to work from home 1 day per week. Subject to change without notice as per company guidelines.
Compensation: The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00 per hour. Hourly pay rate is based on the experience that you bring to the position.
Benefits and Perks:
  • Complimentary chef prepared breakfast and lunch provided Monday - Thursday
  • Generous product gift program and all brand discounts
  • Company bonus program
  • 5 year and 10 year Milestone Anniversary travel gifts
  • Medical, Dental, Vision insurance in accordance with plan guidelines
  • Company paid life insurance in accordance with plan guidelines
  • 401k with employer match in accordance with plan guidelines
  • 15 Days of PTO accrued annually, plus one additional day of PTO every year on your anniversary, and 3 Floating Holidays per year
  • Paid beach and giveback days, bi-annual team building events and other in-person celebrations
  • Work with talented and great people who share a love of the ocean lifestyle
