Description
Position Summary
The Logistics Technician I supports IT hardware logistics and deployment operations, with a primary focus on computer refreshes, imaging, shipping/receiving, and inventory control. This role requires strong customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to follow established procedures in a fast-paced environment. Strong organizational skills, clear documentation, effective communication, and a proactive approach to follow-up are essential to ensure that all assigned tasks, ticket updates, and inventory actions are completed accurately and on schedule.
Pay Range: $18 - $20 per hour
Key Responsibilities
  • Inventory Management: Organize and maintain the storage room; track IT hardware as it enters and leaves inventory.
  • Ticket Management: Process and update requests in the Wolken ticketing system promptly, documenting all end-user interactions and resolutions.
  • Computer Refresh & Deployment: Image new PCs/Macs, perform disk wipes, and prepare systems for deployment.
  • Hardware Collections: Coordinate the return and processing of hardware during refresh cycles, acquisitions, and terminations.
  • Shipping/Receiving: Package, label, and ship IT hardware; receive and inspect incoming shipments.
  • Storage Area Maintenance: Keep the storage area clean, organized, and properly labeled to support efficient inventory tracking and quick access to equipment.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with end users, IT support staff, and vendors to ensure smooth logistics operations.

Requirements
Qualifications
  • 1-3 years' experience in PC support, desktop support, or corporate helpdesk environment.
  • Proficiency with computer imaging and disk wiping tools.
  • Strong organizational skills with a proven ability to document processes, follow up, and close out tasks promptly.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for documenting activities and collaborating with stakeholders.
  • Ability to maintain a clean, orderly, and well-labeled storage area.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
