Job Purpose

Assist customers to the fullest extent of your abilities. There is no problem that we as a team cannot solve through the services we provide, the information we possess, and the experience we have accrued. Sales Associates are required to contribute to the vast body of skills and expertise to the best of their abilities, while striving to learn more. Treat each customer as we would a guest in your own home. Remember, without customers we would not be in business.

Job tasks

  • Greet customers and ascertain wants or needs with the magic question. "What may I help you find today?"
  • Describe merchandise and explain its use, operation, and care to customers.
  • Recommend, select, and help locate or obtain mechandise based on customer needs.
  • Answer questions regarding the store and its merchandise.
  • Maintain knowledge of current sales and promotions.
  • Rope/Chain/Wire/Tubing cutting
  • Place special orders or call other stores to find desired items.
  • Gain general product knowledge of all departments.
  • Learn locations to better assist customers.
  • Ensuring safety for all customers, oneself, and coworkers.
  • Forwarding customer complaints/concerns/complements to the Supervisor in charge.
  • Glass Cutting (both Plexi and Single Strength)
  • Key Cutting (both Chip and Regular)
  • Paint mixing
  • Propane filling - and all safety procedures followed
  • Forklift Driving (for those over age of 18)
  • Maintaining inventory of assigned departments as well as others when needed.
  • Stock, Front, and Face department daily
  • Create daily hole count sheet when appropriate
  • Closing duties - as assigned
