Staff Accountant
Center street lending

We provide lending solutions to seasoned residential real estate investors to help them succeed and together rebuild quality residential properties in neighborhoods that they are both proud of. Our loan programs feature Fix & Flip, Short-and Long-Term Rental, Bridge, and Ground-Up Construction. We offer attractively priced loans, quick access and hassle-free IN-HOUSE draws, no hidden fees, transparent communication, and quick results. All properties must be non-owner occupied. Center Street currently lends in AZ, CA, CO, D.C., FL, GA, MD, NC, OR, TN, TX, VA, WA.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Full-cycle accounting experience required.
  • Verify, allocate, post, and reconcile accounts payable and receivable.
  • Produce error-free accounting reports and present their results.
  • Prepare and analyze financial information and summarize financial status.
  • Spot errors and suggest ways to improve efficiency and spending.
  • Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures.
  • Participate in financial standards setting and in forecast process.
  • Prepare financial statements and produce budget according to schedule.
  • Assist with tax audits and tax returns.
  • Direct internal and external audits to ensure compliance.
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls./Ensure compliance with GAAP principles.

Qualifications: 
  • Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures.
  • In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Familiarity with financial accounting statements.
  • Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process.
  • Advanced MS Excel skills including VLOOKUP’s and pivot tables.
  • Loan Vision experience preferred.
  • Accuracy and diligence.
  • Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills.

Experience:
  • Five (5) plus years in real estate or mortgage industry preferred.

Education:
  • BS degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant.

Compensation:
  • Hourly- $31.25- $36.06.
