Our client, a trucking company is seeking an Accounts Payable/Administrative Assistant to join their team.

  • The is perm position.
  • The work schedule is Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm.  Friday is a work from home day.
  • The pay rate is $25.00 per hour.
  • On Site Parking and 1 block from Hawthorne Metro North Station

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly organized, detail-oriented Accounts Payable / Administrative Assistant to join our team. This position is ideal for someone who is comfortable working with numbers, reviewing financial information, staying organized, and helping keep day-to-day office operations running smoothly. Someone who will take ownership of the accounts payable process while also being willing to assist with payroll, filing, organization, and general administrative responsibilities. The right candidate will be proactive, reliable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced office environment
Key Responsibilities
● Review, analyze, and organize incoming bills and invoices
● Verify invoices for accuracy and identify discrepancies or unusual charges
● Process and schedule vendor payments accurately and on time
● Communicate with vendors regarding invoices, payments, billing questions, and account discrepancies
● Review employee timecards and assist with payroll preparation and processing
● Assist with unemployment claims and related documentation
● Perform data entry and maintain accurate, organized filing and recordkeeping systems
● Provide day-to-day administrative and executive support as needed
● Assist with improving office organization, procedures, and internal processes
● Maintain confidentiality when handling company, financial, and employee information
Qualifications
● Previous experience in accounts payable, payroll, or office administration preferred
● Strong attention to detail and ability to identify billing discrepancies
● Strong computer and data-entry skills
● Proficient with standard office programs
● Excellent organizational and time-management skills
● Ability to prioritize responsibilities and meet deadlines
● Dependable, trustworthy, and able to work independently
● Experience with payroll/timekeeping systems is a plus
Schedule & Compensation
● Full-Time: 40 hours per week
● $25.00 per hour
● Standard schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM, Fridays work from home.
