Job description

About Us & Job Overview

For over 40 years, Heritage Landscapes has partnered with clients, landscape architects, and general contractors to create and care for high-end residential outdoor living spaces. Serving the Bay Area-including Marin, Sonoma, Napa, and San Francisco counties-we are dedicated to long-term client relationships, exceptional landscape craftsmanship, and environmental stewardship.

We are seeking a versatile, high-performing Landscaping Account Manager to join our growing team. In this full account lifecycle role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for high-end residential landscape maintenance account portfolios. If you are a landscape professional who loves fine gardening & horticulture, thrives on proactive estate care & enhancements, and excels at high-touch client relations, this role is for you.

Core Responsibilities

New Account Sales

  • Meet directly with prospective residential estate clients to discover property goals, assess site conditions, and establish initial client relations.
  • Develop and estimate custom, comprehensive estate care programs tailored to the specific needs of the clients and the properties.
  • Present formal maintenance contracts to clients, navigate revisions, and close new sales agreements.

Relationship Building, Client Retention & Enhancement Sales

  • Perform proactive, consistent and timely property walkthroughs with existing clients to review garden health, ensure meticulous quality standards, and secure long-term contract loyalty.
  • Identify upgrade & enhancement opportunities on new & existing estates and build precise, itemized estimates for enhancement projects.
  • Present proposals to clients, close sales contracts and manage enhancement projects.

Client Communication, Account Management & Financial Oversight

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for your account portfolio, keeping clients fully informed throughout the ongoing account lifecycle.
  • Direct project & planting layouts, to ensure enhancement design specifications are executed flawlessly. Procure premium plants, custom hardscape materials, and specialized site equipment ahead of production timelines
  • Coordinate seamlessly with Field Supervisors and Crew Leaders to translate client design expectations into actionable field maintenance schedules.
  • Manage overall maintenance routing efficiency, track ongoing job costing data, and handle client change-orders proactively in real time.
  • Oversee the portfolio billing lifecycle: generate timely invoices based enhancement completion, track accounts receivable (A/R) for maintenance contracts & enhancement projects, and manage client collections to secure positive project cash flow.

Qualifications & Skills

  • 3-5+ years of experience in high-end residential landscape maintenance management, green-industry contract sales, or premium estate property management.
  • Proven capability estimating custom service work, managing multi-property recurring revenue budgets, and professionally handling billing and A/R collections.
  • Strong understanding of Northern California plant materials, organic fine gardening practices, tree/shrub pathology, microclimates, and smart irrigation systems. Proficiency with digital estimating/accounting software.
  • Elite relationship-building skills with a background providing consultative, high-touch communication to clients and trade partners. Exceptional conflict-resolution skills.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to pivot seamlessly from a prospective sales presentation to a technical field diagnostic meeting with production teams.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Salary : $125,000 / year plus company-wide profit sharing.
  • Health Benefits : Medical, Dental & Vision insurance plans.
  • Retirement : 401(k) plan with company match.
  • Paid Time Off : Vacation & Paid Sick Leave
  • Company Vehicle: provided for site visits & professional use.
      Employment Type: FULL_TIME
