Chinook Equipment in Lethbridge is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Administrator to join our team. Reporting to the Accounting & Administration Manager, the Accounts Payable Administrator is responsible for the centralized A/P functions supporting all Chinook Equipment branches across Alberta.

The successful candidate will work Monday to Friday; 8:00am to 5:00pm and earn a salary between $50,000 $55,000 annually, depending on experience.

Job Duties:

  • Post, process and review accounts payable invoices and purchase orders
  • Pay and reconcile credit cards, monthly vendor invoices and statements
  • Answer vendor and customer inquiries regarding accounts payable
  • Audit purchase requests for materials, supplies and equipment; verifying that orders are charged to the proper accounts
  • Assist with special projects as required

What You Bring:

  • 1-2 years of previous experience in accounts payable is strongly preferred
  • Extremely well organized with the ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
  • Possess a friendly customer service approach, with the ability to be comfortable dealing and interacting with various customers, vendors, and staff
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
