About the Opportunity

Our client is a growing manufacturer in the food and beverage industry seeking an Accounting Analyst to join its Finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career accounting professional who enjoys working with data, collaborating across departments, and supporting financial operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager, this role will support accounts payable activities, cost tracking, financial analysis, reporting, and operational finance initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Accounts Payable function, including vendor communications and statement reconciliations
  • Assist with preparation of tax exemption certificates, credit applications, and related documentation
  • Monitor and report monthly usage of chemicals, consumables, and other operational expenses
  • Analyze Maintenance & Spare Parts spending trends and investigate cost variances
  • Coordinate purchase order and invoice processing related to capital expenditures (CapEx)
  • Perform data gathering, reconciliations, and root cause analysis to support business decisions
  • Partner with Operations, Maintenance, Quality, and HR teams to improve reporting accuracy and cost visibility
  • Assist with year-end audit activities and financial documentation
  • Support continuous process improvement initiatives across finance and operations
  • Perform additional accounting and finance duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 0-2 years of accounting, finance, or analytical experience
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas and pivot tables
  • Experience using ERP systems, accounting software, or financial systems
  • Understanding of basic accounting principles and procedures
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Exposure to cost accounting, inventory analysis, or financial reporting
  • CPA designation or progress toward CPA certification
