Job description

  • Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Prepares and/or contributes to all aspects of event accounting including settlements, event costs, flash reports, and journal entries
  • Records all payroll entries to the general ledger including biweekly payroll and monthly accruals
  • Prepares and records daily cash receipts to the general ledger
  • Perform account analysis on both a facility and event level
  • Record, review and reconcile cash receipts, encode A/R cash receipts, and maintain cash journals
  • Prepares and performs bank and balance sheet account reconciliations
  • Review A/P invoices in Bill.com
  • Maintains general and subsidiary ledgers, accounts receivable, accounts payable, revenue distribution, and operating expenses, and insurance records and reconciliations
  • Verifies and checks the accuracy of general ledger coding
  • Prepares and analyzes information for financial statements and reports
  • Other duties as assigned
  • SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
    Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with all Legends & ASM policies and applicable laws.
    QUALIFICATIONS

    Education and/or Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience
  • Previous work experience in financial statement preparation, journal entries, and analysis of account balances
  • High aptitude of Microsoft Office, and accounting software
  • Intermediate Excel skills required, including the ability to build and/or understand reconciliations and accounting schedules from raw data using formulas such as INDEX/MATCH,XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, and Pivot Tables
  • Excellent math skills; high aptitude for figures
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal skills and time management
  • Ability to work with and maintain highly confidential information is required
  • Previous experience in live event or F&B accounting highly preferred
  • Previous experience with Sage and Bill.com highly preferred
  • Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
  • CPA is preferred
