Job Description

Job Purpose: Provides financial support to management by assisting the finance department in providing accurate and timely financial records for Bergkamp Inc.

Essential Functions

  1. Prepare accounting records, including financial reports, to assess the accuracy, completeness, and conformance to standards defined within the organization.
  2. Prepare journal entries and maintain accurate records of financial transactions.
  3. Manage accounts receivable.
  4. Code invoices and credit card transactions to the General Ledger.
  5. Invoice customers, process RMA credits.
  6. Provide backup assistance for accounts payable entries in the ERP system.
  7. File tax returns for multiple jurisdictions.
  8. Process credit card payments from customers.
  9. Reconcile general ledger accounts.
  10. Prepare and mail customer statements.
  11. Contact customers about overdue accounts.
  12. Create projects in the ERP system for equipment sales.
  13. Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
  14. Ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting principles and regulations.
  15. Maintain accurate file retention.

  5. Strong knowledge of balance sheet reconciliation and journal entry preparation.
  6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  8. Ability to read and interpret documents such as invoices, procedure manuals, and job instructions.
  9. Ability to write routine reports and business correspondence.
  10. Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  11. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  12. Ability to use department equipment such as computer, fax machine, copy machine, and telephone.
  13. Ability to maintain confidentiality.
