CPA Senior Accountant – Brantford

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

  • Involvement with work related to engagement assignments, including review and compilation, as well as personal and corporate tax returns
  • Review of working paper files, financial statements, and tax returns prepared by other staff
  • Preparation and completion of complex working paper files, financial statements, and tax returns for compilation, review, and audit engagements in accordance with firm and regulatory standards
  • Assisting clients with compliance filings and responding to CRA‑related queries and inquiries on government programs
  • Supporting clients with day‑to‑day business queries
  • Assisting in the training and mentorship of junior staff

Qualifications & other Experience


  • CPA designation is required
  • Minimum of three (3) years post‑designation experience in public accounting
  • Proficiency with public accounting software such as CaseWare and Taxprep
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong knowledge of government taxes
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities

Expected Compensation Range 

  • $60,000 – $95,000 annually
  • Compensation within this range may vary based on the candidate’s skills, experience, and qualifications. In certain situations, a candidate’s unique background or specialized expertise may warrant consideration slightly outside the posted range.
