Job description

Tech24 is seeking a Senior Accountant to join the corporate accounting team in Greenville, South Carolina. This role is a key contributor to the monthly close process, financial reporting, and reconciliations, while also serving as a technical resource and mentor to staff level accountants. This position offers a clear path for growth. A high performing Senior Accountant will have the opportunity to advance into an Accounting Manager role as the team continues to build depth and bench strength. 

GROWTH OPPORTUNITY

  • This role is intended for a high potential accounting professional. Within one to two years, a successful Senior Accountant will be positioned to advance into an Accounting Manager role as the team grows.
  • Compensation: $85,000-$110,000

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process for assigned areas, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis.
  • Prepare and review financial statements and supporting schedules in accordance with GAAP.
  • Partner with FP&A and operational leaders to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Support external audit requests, including preparation of schedules and documentation, and serve as a point of contact for auditors on assigned areas.
  • Review and mentor staff accountant work product, providing technical guidance and feedback.
  • Identify and drive process improvements to increase the accuracy and efficiency of the close and reporting cycle.
  • Maintain and strengthen internal controls across assigned accounting functions.
  • Research and document technical accounting positions as new transactions or standards arise.
  • Assist with special projects and analysis as assigned by the Chief Financial Officer.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of progressive accounting experience. Prior public accounting experience, including audit, is strongly preferred.
  • CPA license or active pursuit of CPA licensure preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting principles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel required. Experience with ERP and accounting systems preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage competing deadlines, and exercise sound judgment.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to partner cross functionally and present financial information clearly.
  • A professional, team oriented approach with a track record of contributing positively to team culture.
