Accounting Manager
The Accounting Manager works under the guidance of the Controller in preparing and reporting financial statements conforming to principles of accounting and regulatory requirements. Additionally, the role manages Cost Accounting, General Accounting, sales tax, corporate tax and supports budget and forecast.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 
  • Maintains integrity of accounting records and reports in accordance with GAAP.
  • Accurately prepares financial statements monthly including preparation of a flux analysis to explain variances
  • Organize external audits, delivering Prepared by Client list in a timely manner
  • Provide data to support the year end tax provision
  • Perform month-end close activities including journal entries, inventory reconciliations, variance analysis and account reconciliations ensuring they are completed timely and accurately
  • Prepare monthly manufacturing operations reporting package for management 
  • Perform variance analysis between actual and standard costs and update standard rates as needed 
  • Support quarterly reviews and annual audits 
  • Provide cost modeling and financial analysis to the manufacturing operations team
  • Manage cycle count program, ensuring audit compliance and variance reconciliation
  • Manage full cycle fixed asset accounting
  • Manage all accruals, reclasses, and other entries necessary to close
  • Review and prepare account reconciliations with appropriate support
  • Ensure tax liabilities are appropriate recorded
  • Ensure that payroll is appropriately posted to the General Ledger
  • Ensure sales tax filings are done in a timely manner
  • Participate in the annual budget process and periodic forecast updates 
  • Prepare other managerial reports as requested
  • Troubleshoot Made to Manage as needed (M2M)
  • Process improvements to streamline the close process
  • Assist in special projects and prepare ad hoc analysis as necessary
  • Participate in the 401k audit
Education, Experience, Skills, & Abilities: 
  • B.S. degree in Accounting or Finance required 
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge and solid computer skills 
  • CPA with Big 4 Public Accounting experience preferred 
  • 7 – 10 years of experience managing and leading a Finance department 
  • Manufacturing industry experience preferred 
  • Experience with Made To Manage (M2M) 
  • Strong communication, organizational and interpersonal skills  
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and G-Suite 
  • Adaptive Insights experience a plus
