Job description

We are looking for a self-motivated Accounting Manager to join our expanding team at Lohman & Associates. The Accounting Manager will be responsible for multiple duties on behalf of our great clients, including all aspects of client daily operations and financial reporting.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Manages the timely and accurate preparation of all external financial reporting, ensuring statements are in accordance with US GAAP.
  • Communicates with clients to ensure that all of their needs are understood and addressed.
  • Prepares financial statements and footnotes in accordance with US GAAP for various private and public company clients.
  • Coordinates activities with internal/external audit, finance, and legal.
  • Reviews the monthly and quarterly financial reporting package, including income statement and balance sheet analysis and various management reports.
  • Provide accounting analysis related to contemplated or executed transactions.
  • Reviews month-end close and manages day to day operational accounting activities for a variety of clients.
  • Enjoys working with a team in an energetic and open working environment.
  • Works well with a high degree of autonomy.
  • Communicates well and has excellent customer service skills.
  • Supervises and trains staff on best practices, performs annual performance reviews, and works with management on appropriate staffing allocation.
Basic Requirements / Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience (Public/Industry mix preferred).
  • Bachelor’s Degree Required (Finance, Accounting, Economics, preferred).
  • An active CPA License.
  • Strong leadership, decision making, and technical skills.
  • Public Accounting Experience.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office required, specifically in Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience with QuickBooks Online preferred.
