A multi-billion dollar financial services company located near Edison, NJ (Hybrid Schedule), is looking to add an Accounting Manager to the team. Responsibilities: What you will do: • Track and analyze private equity fund performance, including gross and net Internal Rates of Return (IRRs), investment multiples, and preferred returns. • Analyze fund performance under various financial and investment scenarios to support strategic decision-making. • Assist with the quarterly close process and quarterly valuation of investment portfolios. • Prepare and/or review quarterly financial statements, investor reporting packages, and Limited Partner communications. • Coordinate annual audits and serve as the primary liaison with external auditors. • Ensure the accurate flow of financial information through complex investment structures, including holding companies, intermediary entities, blocker entities, and investment funds. • Prepare and review capital calls, investor distributions, management fee calculations, and carried interest allocations. • Ensure compliance with fund operating agreements, partnership agreements, and investor side letters. • Partner with cross-functional teams to support fund operations, reporting requirements, and strategic initiatives. • Provide technical accounting guidance, identify opportunities to improve processes and internal controls, and mentor entry level team members while contributing to a collaborative, high-performing team environment.
Benefits: Salary: $120,000 - $130,000 Benefits: Medical, Dental, VisionQualifications: We want you on our team because you… • Hold a Bachelor's degree in Accounting. • Are a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). • Bring five 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with a strong concentration in private equity fund accounting. • Possess a strong understanding of private equity fund structures, including capital calls, distributions, management fees, carried interest, investor reporting, and financial statement preparation. • Have experience preparing and reviewing financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP. • Have experience coordinating annual audits and working with external auditors. • Have experience with Investran or similar private equity fund accounting software (preferred). • Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail. • Communicate effectively and build collaborative relationships across all levels of the organization. • Take initiative, manage competing priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
