Job description

General Purpose

The Accounting Manager leads a team of accountants and oversees accounting and financial reporting activities within the organization. This positionis responsible forensuring the accuracy and completeness of financial results, managing the month end close process, reviewing balance sheet reconciliations, supporting audit requirements,maintaininginternal controls, and partnering with operations and leadership to drive effectivefinancial managementand continuous process improvement.

Essential Duties:

  • Lead, develop, and supervise a team of accounting professionals, providing coaching, guidance, and performance management.

  • Oversee the month end, quarter end, and year end close processes to ensuretimelyandaccuratefinancial reporting.

  • Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.

  • Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of financial information and reporting.

  • Analyze financial results, investigate variances and trends, and partner with leadership to resolve issues and drive informed decision making.

  • Maintain effective internal controls and ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.

  • Partner with operational and corporate leadership to address accounting matters and support organizationalobjectives.

  • Drive process improvements, standardization efforts, and automation initiatives to improve efficiency, scalability, and accuracy.

  • Provide technical accounting guidance and mentorship to accounting staff.

  • Support acquisitions, system implementations, and other business initiatives as assigned.

  • Lead andparticipatein cross functional projects, ad hoc analyses, and strategic initiatives to support the organization's continued growth and evolving business needs.

  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Supervisory Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience leading, supervising, or managing accounting professionals preferred.

  • Demonstrated ability to coach, develop, and provide performance feedback to employees.

  • Ability to effectively prioritize work, delegate responsibilities, and manage competing deadlines.

Physical Demands

  • Prolonged periods of sitting, working at a computer, and performing detailed financial and accounting tasks requiring sustained concentration and attention to detail.
  • Frequent use of hands, fingers, and wrists to operate computers, calculators, telephones, and other standard office equipment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in person, by telephone, video conference, and electronic communication platforms with employees, leadership, auditors, and external business partners.
  • Occasional standing, walking, bending, reaching, stooping, and lifting or carrying office materials and equipment weighing up to 20 pounds.
  • Ability to travel occasionally to corporate offices, facilities, training events, audits, meetings, or other business-related locations as needed.

Qualification

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Financerequired.

  • CPA preferred; active pursuit of CPA certificationrequired.

  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experiencerequired.

  • Previousmanagement, supervisory, or team leadership experience preferred.

Pay Range: $110,000-$125,000
