Job description

Join a well-established organization as their next Accounting Manager, overseeing the full accounting function for a mission-driven employer. This is a hands-on leadership role: you'll manage a team covering payroll, accounts payable and receivable, and financial analysis, while owning the monthly close, internal controls, and grant reporting.

This is a fully on-site role in Kenai, AK. You'll be a visible presence for your team and cross-functional partners, building the kind of trust and collaboration that only happens in person.

What you'll do

  • Lead, coach, and develop an accounting team (AP, AR, payroll, financial analysis)
  • Own the monthly close process and ensure accurate, timely reporting
  • Build and maintain strong internal controls across the general ledger
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
  • Manage grant reporting and ensure clean, timely audits
  • Partner with program managers to drive best practices across the organization
