Job description

Care Options for Kids is growing, and we are actively seeking a forward-thinking and experienced Accounting Manager who oversees all accounting and financial reporting for a multilocation home health / therapy organization, including general ledger activities, monthend close management and financial review. This role ensures accurate multisite financials and provides analysis to leadership on branch and serviceline performance.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Ownership of month end and year end close processes overseeing a team of six accountants, reviewing and posting of journal entries.
  • Prepare journal entries and complete general ledger account reconciliations when required.
  • Oversee initial review of all balance sheet reconciliations by accountants.
  • Complete monthly location level variance analysis with explanations for review with Controller and VP of Finance.
  • Be able to independently research and answer all variance analysis and reconciliation issues that may arise.
  • Assist with internal and external audits, preparing schedules, support, and responding to inquiries, including any payer or regulatory audits tied to billing.
  • Assist with Fleet program analytics.
  • Provide financial analysis on productivity, payer mix, margin by service line, and branch performance to support operational and strategic decisionmaking.
  • Assist in continued efforts to consolidate and automate processes where necessary.
  • Support other departments with implementations or acquisition implementations as needed.
  • Liaison with operational leaders using insights derived from KPIs.The ideal candidate can share ideas drawn for metrics to drive meaningful operational decision making.
  • Travel required up to 25% a year based on business needs.
  • Ability to manage in a Hybrid/Remote environment.

What you need to have:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
  • 5+ years' experience in accounting with 2+ years in supervisory position.
  • Multi-site healthcare experience is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, Excel and healthcare billing / reimbursement.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and supervise accounting staff and to collaborate effectively with clinical and operations leaders.

Salary $115,000 - $125,000, compensation dependent on experience.
