Job description

Automotive Office Manager / Accounting Manager

McDaniels Auto Group is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Automotive Office Manager / Accounting Manager to support accounting and administrative operations at our Columbia, SC Corporate Headquarters and our Orangeburg, SC location. This position will play a key role in overseeing daily office functions with significant involvement in accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and overall accounting support.

We are looking for someone who is organized, dependable, and experienced in a fast-paced dealership accounting environment.

Please note that candidates may live in or near Columbia, SC or Orangeburg, SC.  This position requires once or twice a week day-travel between our locations.  No overnight required!

Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily accounting office operations

  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes

  • Assist with reconciliations and month-end close activities

  • Work closely with dealership leadership and corporate accounting

  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and deposits

  • Assist with reporting, schedules, and administrative support functions

  • Support office workflow and maintain organized accounting records

  • Help identify opportunities to improve office/accounting processes

  • Some day travel between dealership locations may be required

Qualifications
  • Prior accounting office management experience required

  • Automotive dealership accounting experience required

  • Strong AP/AR experience required

  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and accounting software

  • Experience with Dealertrack strongly preferred
